In 2018, the readers of Travel + Leisure named Cape Town one of only 15 “World’s Best” cities. Thanks to the Mother City’s unique blend of natural beauty and captivating cultural attractions, it’s easy to see why the city remains at the top of many travelers’ bucket lists.

 

With so much to see and do, everyone should visit Cape Town at least once in a lifetime. Boasting the perfect balance of scenery, activities, attractions, diverse accommodation and a bustling nightlife, Cape Town has something for everyone to enjoy.

This trip is hosted by Sisters Traveling Solo LLC. Please note that you must be a member of our paid membership program or our Facebook group to join this trip. Membership will be verified after booking. Our trips are 21 years and up at the time of departure. 

Tour Highlights

ROBBEN ISLAND

Travel to Robben Island by ferry and visit the famous prison where Nelson Mandela spent many years.

WINE TASTING

South Africa’s winemaking history dates back to the 17th century, and on this half-day tour from Cape Town, you visit multiple wine estates in the Cape Winelands.

PENGUINS

 

A short drive from Cape Town lies Boulders Beach, home to a serene penguin colony and one of the few places in the world where you can swim with these wonderful water birds.

LANGA TOWNSHIP

An eye-opening guided tours of Langa, Cape Town’s oldest black township. You will get the chance to greet residents along the way

Tentative Itinerary

DAY 01 - JAN. 31, 2021​ - ARRIVAL CAPE TOWN

Upon arrival into Cape Town (CPT), you will be transported via one of our group transfer times to our hotel. After check-in, take the rest of the afternoon at leisure rewinding from the long flight.

Note: Airport transfers are provided from 5 AM and end at 11 PM local time on January 31, 2021. Hotel check-in is 3 PM.

DAY 02 - FEB. 1, 2021​ - CAPE TOWN - CITY TOUR 

This morning starts your personal tour of Cape town.  Our city tour will include stops at  the world know Bokaap street, district six museum, and then head over to Table Mountain.  Later this evening we will get together for welcome dinner.

DAY 03 - FEB. 2, 2021​ - CAPE TOWN - LANGA TOWNSHIP / ROBBEN ISLAND

On this day we will begin the morning by visiting the Langa Township.  Langa is Cape Town’s oldest township,established in 1923.  Langa is one of the many areas that were established prior to the apartheid era designated for Black Africans.During a township tour, you’ll experience the “real” Langa and meet many people who are making a difference in the community.

 

After our tour of the Langa township, we will head over to Robben Island to visit the cell of Nelson Mandela.Our tour guide during our tour of Robben Island will be a former inmate of the prison

DAY 04 - FEB. 3, 2021 - CAPE TOWN - FREE DAY

DAY 05 - FEB. 4, 2021​ - CAPE TOWN - PENINSULA TOUR

Today after breakfast we will get an up-close tour of the Peninsula we flew over our 1st day.  Our tour guide will take us to the Cape Point as known as the Cape of Good Hope. Cape Point is the farthest tip of the Cape Peninsula.Be sure to bring your tennis shoes if want to walk up.Once our tour is complete at Cape Point we will journey to Boulders beach to see the African penguins. After a quick lunch break we will head to Chapman’s peak drive and Maidens Cove

DAY 06 - FEB. 5, 2021​ - CAPE TOWN - WINE TASTING

On our final full day in Cape town we will take a tour of 3 local wineries all located in the Stellenbosch region of Cape Winelands. Our winery tour will include stops at Villiera, Anura, and Seven Sisters.

 

Seven Sisters is one of the most notable black owned wineries in Cape town. The Seven Sisters wines are named after each sibling and it starts from youngest to oldest, the range consists of a Bukettraube-Odelia, Pinotage-Rose-Twena, Chenin Blanc-Yolanda, Sauvignon Blanc-Vivian, Pinotage/Shiraz-Dawn, Merlot-June and Cabernet- Carol. The 2009 Seven Sisters Sauvignon BlancVivian has been selected by American Airlines, the first South African wine ever to be served on their flights, according to Vivian the brain behind the company, African Roots wines.

 

This evening we will take part in our farewell dinner at a unique African restaurant in the heart of Cape Town, Gold Restaurant. This culinary experience is accompanied by unique interactive traditional entertainment.

DAY 07- FEB. 6, 2021 - ​CAPE TOWN

On our final day, we will enjoy breakfast and begin to depart back home via one of our group transfers.  

 

Note: Airport transfers are provided from 12 AM and end at 11 AM local time on February 6, 2021. Hotel check-out is 11 AM.
