Join Sisters Traveling Solo as we head to Costa Rica for our 2nd Annual STS Meetup.
What's the difference between a STS Meetup vs a STS Trip?

For our Meetups; members book and pay for their own lodging, food, flight, airport transport, and any other expenses outside of the arranged activities.  STS plans the events and transport to and from each event only.

Thursday, July 12 - Sunday, July 15, 2018 (4 days, 3 nights)

— Activity Package Cost   

 

$325* per person for Activity package A
$395* per person for Activity package B


*Listed below are the activities we have planned for this meetup.  We will not split activities, you have to purchase the complete package; package A or B. 

 

You cannot book on your own tour and meet us at the activity.  Only those who book our activities package will be invited to join our private FB group where we will share meetup details.  Links to our private FB group will be sent to paid Attendees via FB inbox every Friday.

Remaining Activity of $225 (package A) or $295 (package B) will be due on 06/01/18.

We will NOT add any additional members to this meetup once all spots are filled.  A paid deposit is required to secure your spot.

Thursday Night

 

Arrival 

Group meet and greet (not included in activities cost)

Friday - Activity Option A 

ATV & Zip lining (2-hrs of both ATV & Zip lining)

Pickup Time: 11:00am  Approximate Return Time: 5:00pm 

Travel Time – One Way: Approximately 20 minutes

ATV & Zip lining Tour Includes:
First you'll ATV for 2 hours through the tropical dry forest and be on the lookout for birds, monkeys, iguanas, etc. along the way. After your ATV tour you'll do the canopy tour for another 2 hours on the highest, longest and fastest zip lines in the immediate area and certainly not for the faint of heart.


With 10 lines and 11 platforms this canopy is suitable for anyone from 4 yrs old and up. You'll be deep in the heart of the tropical dry forest and able to see for miles across the farmland.
Transportation to the first platform is provided by vehicle.
You will ending the tour at Playa Conhal, where you can swing or do snorkeling

Friday - Activity Option B 

Arenal / Springs Full Day Tour


Pickup Time: 6:30am  Return Time: Approximately 10:00pm

Travel Time- One Way: Approximately 4 hours
 
Arenal /Springs Full Day Tours Includes:
- Late breakfast at Lake Arenal - Aerial Tram & Zip-Lining at Sky Trek (highest and longest in Costa Rica) - Relaxation and dinner buffet at the luxury Tabacon Springs.

Saturday 
Morning Yoga


Catamaran Cruise 1:30pm – 6:00pm (4.5 hours) 

Includes meal: Chicken fajitas, Arroz con vegetable, black beans with spices, Chips and salsa, Fruit tray, Vegetable platter with dip, Cabbage salad, Banana bread for desert.

NOTE: There will be no adjustments to your activity after final payment is made on 3/01/18; NO exceptions.

Host Hotel: JW Marriott Guanacaste Resort & Spa

 

Address: Helipuerto Hacienda Pinilla, Provincia de Guanacaste, Guanacaste, Costa Rica (Tamarindo Area)


Dates: 7/12/18 - 7/15/18 (you can arrive anytime between our contract dates to receive our rate)


Room Type: Deluxe Run of House (single or double); max 2 people per room


Room Cost:  Room Cost (includes breakfast) $230/night*

*Plus 13% tax


Deadline to Book at Discounted Rate: 06/01/18 

 

Roommates: Members are responsible for finding a roommate if they desire one.  Within our private Costa Rica Facebook group only members and post to find roommate options. 


Non-Refundable Deposit Required: 1st nights rate will be charged upon booking.  Charge is nonrefundable.

Note:  we have to secure 10 rooms to get discounted rate of $230.  With our discounted rate, we are receiving a $100 off per night discount, free breakfast. no housekeeping or bellman fee.  If we don’t secure 10 bookings by 5/15/18 we will release our reserved rooms and Attendees will need to make their own bookings which can be at the JW Marriott at the higher rate. 

Members are not required to stay at the host hotel. 

 

— Cost/Payment Options   

Deposit - $100 per person due to secure your spot for this meetup.


Deposits are refundable up until 5/01/18. After 05/01/18 no refunds of deposits will be given.

— Payment Terms   

Remaining Activity Balance of $225 (option A) or $295 (option B) will be due on 06/01/18.

Anyone who doesn’t pay remaining balance by 06/01/18 will lose their $100 deposit. 

 

— Refund Policy   

Deposits are refundable up until 5/01/18. After 05/01/18 no refunds of deposits will be given.
Anyone who doesn’t pay remaining Activity package balance by 06/01/18 will lose $100 deposit. 

— Transportation  

Closes Airport to fly into is Liberia (LIR); 1.5 hours from our host hotel


Transportation To Activities:


Transportation will be provided to each activity from the host hotel only.  If you are not staying at the host hotel you will need to meet us at the host hotel at the scheduled activity departure time.  
Every attendee must depart with the group.  No outside arrangements will be made for anyone who arrives late to the host hotel for our scheduled activities. 

 

We will leave on time for each event.  If you miss an event due to being late, you will not be refunded for that activity.  No activity addresses will be provided.  BE ON TIME!

— Bookings for this meetup closes on March 1, 2017 or when all spots are filled.

Obtaining Their Own Travel Insurance. Sisters Traveling Solo does not take any responsible for members insurance due to illness, injury or death during this meetup.  All meetup attendees will be asked to sign a trip waiver one more before trip departure.
