Are you ready to cross off all 7 World Wonders with your Sisters? Then join Sisters Traveling Solo as we cross off our 5th of 7 World Wonders, Taj Mahal. On this trip you will not only cross off the Taj Mahal but you will also participate in one of the Worlds best celebrations/a bucket list item for any World traveler, Holi Festival!
Holi festival also know as "the festival of colors" or "the festival of love", celebrates the end of winter and the victory of good over evil. It takes place between late February and mid-March and lasts for one night (known as Holika Dahan or Chhoti Holi) and the following day (Holi).

1st trip payment will be due on April 15, 2019. Non refundable payments due on the 15th of each month. Monthly payments are due on the 15th regardless of when the deposit is made.

Hosted by local Tour company; at least (2) two of our Sisters Traveling Solo team member will be attendance

— Roommates
Anyone without a roommate will be paired with another member on the trip. If you have a roommate, you will be asked for your roommate information 2 months before the trip departure date. Please avoid emailing us your request after booking

— Things To Note About This Trip:
​
- The people especially the men will likely stare, if this is something that you feel that will make you uncomfortable the entire trip this may not be ideal for you.
- We will be celebrating Holi festival at a private secure location
​
- It is not recommended that anyone go out on their own at night alone. If you decide to leave the hotel and venture out on your own you will be asked to sign a waiver before you leave the hotel. If you are wanting to venture out on your own this trip may not be ideal for you.
​
- We will riding Elephants in Jaipur, if you have any issues with riding Elephants this trip will not be ideal for you. If you opt out of riding the elephant while on the trip, your option would be not to attend that days activities. There will be no credits for opting out of any day of the tour.

- We have selected great accommodations, the names of our hotels will be shared 6 months before trip departure.

— Itinerary

DAY 1 (March 5) - Delhi
​
Upon arrival into Delhi, you will be transported via one of our (4) pre-set transfer times to our hotel After check-in, take the rest of the afternoon at leisure rewinding from the long flight.
​
In the evening, we will all get together for a welcome dinner at our hotel where we will get to know each other.
DAY 2 (March 6) - Delhi
​
After breakfast at the hotel, we will proceed for sightseeing in Old Delhi.
We take a Rickshaw Ride parallel to the Red Fort through the old city and famous Silk Road and Silver Bazaar. Sightseeing of Old Delhi includes "Rajghat", the place where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated and Jama Masjid, the great mosque of old Delhi. Today we also visit the famous "Humayun Tomb" which is the first substantial example of Mughal architecture in India. Before we proceed to the Hotel we have a drive through New Delhi where we see the India Gate, Government Buildings and Embassies.

After our day of sightseeing we will enjoy a group dinner.
​
DAY 3 (March 7) - Jaipur
​
Today after breakfast, we depart for Jaipur, a 5 hour drive (there will be stops) from Delhi. In the Afternoon arrive at Jaipur and check into our hotel.
​
The rest of the day is yours to go shopping for your traditional Indian outfits (at your own expense).
​
DAY 4 (March 8) - Jaipur
On day 4, after breakfast we drive to the ancient capital of Amber, laying 11 km. away from Jaipur. Amber was the ancient capital of Kachhawaha dynasty for 6 centuries before it was moved to newly created Jaipur.
We will ascend to the Palace Fortress on the back of an Elephant. After visiting Amber fort visit down town Step well as known as panna meena kund and also get a chance to visit famous Gaitor.
This evening we will have a group dinner at our hotel.

DAY 5 (March 9) - Jaipur
​
Today after breakfast we drive to pink city and we will visit the Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds), built in 1799 AD, it contains 953 small casements with each having its own balcony. The windows enabled cool air to circulate and the ladies to watch processions below without being seen.
In the afternoon we visit the City Palace that is still the formal residence of the royal family, built in a blend of the Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. In the museum of the City Palace we visit the private collection of the Jaipur Maharajas. We continue to Jantar Mantar, a stone observatory, and the largest of Jai Singh's five remarkable observatories. Its complex instruments reveal us the secrets of medieval Indian astronomy. Later we have a walk through the colorful Bazaar of Jaipur and visit a factory to see the famous block printing work being done since centuries in Jaipur. In the evening we drive through the new city of Jaipur and visit "Laxmi Narayan Mandir", a Hindu temple made out of white marble.
DAY 6 (March 10) - Jaipur, Festival of Colors
Happy Holi Celebration! The day you were waiting for since the beginning of the tour has arrived.
Take your time getting out of bed this morning. In the afternoon we head to our site to celebrate Holi! We will have lunch on site of Holi Celebration.
Enjoy the festivities of Holi on this day like everyone around you. It is a festival of colors in which families, friends, neighbors come together and celebrate by throwing colors on each other and eat sweets and drink ‘thandai.’ After the exhausting fun filled day Morning.

DAY 7 (March 11) - Arga, Taj Mahal
Today after breakfast we drive to Agra, this is a (HOURS) drive from Jaipur.
En route we make a stop and visit Fatehpur Sikri, which was once an imperial capital frozen in time, constructed by Akbar the Great in the 16th century. When we arrive in Agra we will visit the Agra Fort, built by three of the greatest Mughal emperors. The construction of this massive structure began in 1565 under Akbar's reign and continued till the time of his grandson's reign, Shah Jahan who built the impressive imperial quarters and mosque.
After the visit of Agra Fort we will proceed to visit the most beautiful monument of India, the Taj Mahal, an enduring monument to love, with a continually fulfilling beauty. It was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan between 1631-52, as a tomb and memorial to his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal (Jewel of the Palace), who died at the age of 39 giving birth to her 14th child. We spend enough time at Taj Mahal to take this impressive memory home.

DAY 8 (March 12) - Delhi
After breakfast we drive 3.5 hours to Delhi. Once we arrive in Delhi the day is yours to explore.
In the evening we will enjoy a farewell dinner.

DAY 9 (March 13) - Delhi
​
On our final day, we will enjoy breakfast and begin to depart back home via one of our (4) pre-set transfers.
​

Airport Transfers – STS will arrange be arranged based on the group travel times. All guest will be transported as a group based on the closest arrival times. Airports are to and from Delhi International airport only. Airport Transfers will be arranged for trip start and end dates only.

Local Transportation - All ground transportation to and from our activities.
Accommodations - 4 Star hotels in Delhi, Jaipur, and Agra
Lodging details are provided 6 months before trip departure date.

​
Full Payment Special - $100 off total trip cost if full payment is made by 5/15/19
​
A $75 late charge will be applied to all payments made after the 3-day grace period. Missed payments will be applied to the next month plus the $75 late fee. Trip will be automatically cancelled after two missed payments. No refund of deposit or payments will be provided to a trip cancelled due to missed payments.
​
Late will be accessed will be accessed to any payment not made on time, including the final payment.
​

​
24 hour cancellation.
Deposit will be refunded upon request 24 hours after trip has been booked.
Non-refundable deposit due to guarantee booking. After 24 hours of booking no refunds of deposits or payments will be given for any reason.
​Deposit Transfer to Future Trips - If you request to cancel your trip, the trip deposit only can be used toward a future Sisters Traveling Solo trip that you are not currently making payments. No trip payments can be transferred to any trip. If you have paid a deposit or made any payments on a trip that is not considered a future trip. A future trip is one in which no money has been exchanged between you the member and Sisters Traveling Solo; deposit or payments. Transfer request exclude solo getaways or any other Sisters Traveling services.

For deposit transfer request, the deposit on the trip you are cancelling is applied to the 1st payment on the the future trip. You, the member would pay your deposit for the future trip, and your deposit will be credited towards the 1st payment of that future trip.
Deposit transfer request for future must be received via email only at the following address info@sisterstravelingsolo.com before September 15, 2019 (11:59 pm eastern standard time). Trip transfer request not received via email will not be accepted. After September 15, 2019 (11:59 pm eastern standard time) trip deposit cannot be transferred to another Sisters Traveling Solo trip.
If your trip is cancelled due to you missing two consecutive trip payments, you cannot apply the deposit to any future Sisters Traveling Solo trips no matter when the trip was cancelled.

We highly encourage you to purchase travel insurance in case you have to cancel your trip so that if you have to cancel, your travel insurance policy can reimburse you. Sisters Traveling Solo will not reimbursement members outside of the terms disclosed above. If member is unable to make the trip due to medical issues, member needs to work directly with their travel insurance provider for trip reimbursement.

Travel Insurance - Travel Insurance is not provided but is REQUIRED to attend this trip. You will be asked to show proof of travel insurance before we depart. A minimum of $250,000 in travel insurance is REQUIRED; coverage in total must cover (medical & evacuation). Travel insurance can be obtain when you purchase you flight or with World Nomad using the link below.
Sisters Traveling Solo will not travel with or include anyone in trip activities who doesn’t present the required travel insurance documentation at least 6 weeks before trip departure date. STS will alert you when and how to provide travel insurance information, please avoid emailing us any information. When requested travel insurance information to include the requested coverage amounts and the dates that cover the span of our trip.
