Get ready for a mind-blowing adventure that takes you to both Jordan, and Israel. Soak up the sights of Mt. Nebo and the Baptism site in Jordan, get snap-happy at the Star of David square and Hakarmel market, float in the Dead Sea and marvel at the ancient city of Petra.

IMPORTANT: All members must clear customs before 11:59pm (local time) on May 2nd or they risk visa issues when traveling into Israel.  Sisters Traveling Solo will not reimburse any part of trip cost if member fails to clear customs before 11:59pm (local time) on May 2nd. Cost does not include visa and entry fee into Israel.

$2,995* per person - Shared room (2) two people; (2) twin beds

$3,795* per person - Single room (1) one person; (1) one full sized bed  

*Includes:  5 Star Accommodations, Tour Cost; Tour of Bethany*, Tour of Mount Nebo, Tour of Petra, Tour of Jerusalem, panoramic view from Mount of Olives, Tour of Tel Av-iv, and Star of David square.  Select meals,group airport arrival / departure transfers, local transfers, entry cost of sites, and cooking class*. *Cooking class  and tour of Bethany will include non STS members.

Double Occupancy - $355* per person for shared room 

 

Single Occupancy - $435* per person for single room

Payments - Non Refundable - Trip payments will start on June 15th.

 

1st trip payment will be due on June 15, 2019.  Non refundable payments due on the 15th of each month. Monthly payments are due on the 15th regardless of when the deposit is made.

Anyone without a roommate will be paired with another member on the trip.  If you have a roommate, you will be asked for your roommate information 2 months before the trip departure date.  Please avoid emailing us your request after booking.

— Visa & Boarder Tax Required 

 

A visa is required for both entry into Jordan and Israel.  


Jordan Visa can be obtained upon arrival for $60 USD (cash) as of April 2019.  There is no atm or credit card machine, you must have cash.  Members should research the exact cost closer to the trip ensure they are aware of the exact visa cost. 

Israel to cross into Israel each member must have pay a departure tax.  Current cost of the departure tax (to be paid in USD or Jordan dollars only) is as follows:  Departure tax Jordan land border 10 JD or 14 USD per person + Departure tax Israel Allen by Bridge circa 52 USD per person; total needed for each member to cross the border is an estimated $66 USD.  Customers should be prepared in case cost is a little more than the estimated cost due to the conversion rate.  Customers are encouraged to do research before trip date to see if border tax remains the same. 

For entry back into Jordan, customers Jordan visa must show entry into Jordan before May 2, 2020 at 11:59pm EST.  Any member who does not clear customs before 11:59pm on May 2, 2020 is responsible any additional entry cost, fees, or added expenses.

— Itinerary 

 

DAY 1 (May 2nd) - Amman, Jordan  

Arrive at Amman International Airport. All customers must clear customs before 11:59pm (local time) on May 2nd. You will be met by one of our drivers, and transferred to our hotel. After check-in, take the rest of the afternoon at leisure rewinding from the long flight.

In the evening, we will all get together for a welcome dinner.  Over dinner, we will get to know each other.

DAY 2 (May 3rd) - Amman, Jordan

Today after breakfast, we will drive to the Jordan Valley, to Bethany at the Jordan River. This is the place where the baptism of Jesus Christ by John the Baptist took place. We also have a look at Elijah's Hill where Prophet Elijah ascended to heaven. Proceed to Mt. Nebo, the place where Prophet Moses gazed at the Promised Land before he died.

After our day of touring, the rest of the afternoon/evening is yours to enjoy.

DAY 3 (May 4th) - Jerusalem, Israel

Today will be a very early morning.  After breakfast, we will check out of our Amman hotel and take a 45 minute drive to Allenby Bridge. Cross into Israel, the Holy Land.

 

We start our  tour with a panoramic view from Mount of Olives – a good place for an introduction to the city and its history. Then we visit the holy sites of the three monotheistic religions, represented in Jerusalem: We start with the walking to the Wailing Wall, which represents the last remnants of the Jewish Temple, destroyed by the Romans. Usually you can see the various types of Jews who come to worship at this holy place. If open to visitors, we ascend to the Temple Mount, where we can look at the famous Dome of the Rock. Then we continue through the Arab Market ("Suq") to the "Via Dolorosa", Jesus' "Way of Suffering", which leads us to The Church of the Holy Sepulcure, where according to the Christian tradition Jesus was crucified and buried. 

This evening is yours to relax after a day seeing the sights.

DAY 4 (May 5th) - Jerusalem, Israel 

On Day 4 we will drive 1 hour to Tel Aviv, nicknamed the "White City" and classified World Heritage of Humanity for its Bauhaus architecture.  Tel Aviv has a very emblematic history of the creation of the state. Its architecture, Eclectic, Bauhaus, International and its ultra modern skyscrapers gives it an absolutely unique character.

We will visit Dizengof square, Meir garden, Tel Aviv port, Star of David square and Hakarmel market. Continue to visit the old city of Jaffa, one of the ancient gateways to the Holy Land: Through its port the Cedar trees for Salomon's Temple were brought.

This evening is yours to relax after a day seeing the sights.

DAY 5 (May 6th) - Petra, Jordan (drive from Alenby Bridge to Petra is 3.5 hours)

Today, after an early breakfast, we will check out of our hotel and  drive 1 hour back to the Allenby Bridge to cross back into Jordan.  We will check into our hotel then later in the evening we will head to our cooking class.

DAY 6 (May 7th) - Petra, Jordan 

 

After breakfast, we start tour to the red rose city Petra, the biggest attraction of Jordan. Petra was first established around the 6th century B.C. by the Nabataean Arabs, a nomadic tribe who settled in the area and laid the foundation of a commercial empire that extended into Syria. With the guide pass the canyon, the so called Siq, to see the most beautiful monument: the Treasury. Continue via the Street of Facades to the Royal Tombs and Pharaoh's Castle.

This evening is your to rest or enjoy Petra by night.  Re-entry back into the site for Petra by night is not included.  Customers will need to purchase any additional re-entry ticket.

DAY 7 (May 8th) - Dead Sea, Jordan (drive from Petra to Dead Sea is 3 hours)

After breakfast we will check out our hotel and proceed 3 hours to the lowest point on the earth, the Dead Sea, where ever since the days of Herod the Great, people have flocked to in search of its curative secrets, check in.

 

After check in you can enjoy free time to  float in the dead sea or relax by the pool.  Later in the evening we will meet for our farewell dinner.

DAY 8 (May 9th) - Dead Sea, Jordan

On Your final day, we will enjoy breakfast and begin to depart for the airport. The last transfer will depart at our 11am check out time.

Airport Transfers – We’ll work with the hotel to arrange pickup and drop off from Amman International Airport.   

Local Transportation - All ground transportation to and from our activities.

— Payment Terms

Full Payment Special - $100 off total cost if full payment is made on 6/15/19  

A $75 late charge will be applied to all payments made after the 3-day grace period.  Missed payments will be applied to the next month plus the $75 late fee. Trip will be automatically cancelled after two missed payments.  No refund of deposit or payments will be provided to a trip cancelled due to missed payments.  The final trip be accessed a late fee of $75 every 3 days that the payment remains unpaid.  

— Invoices

Payments will made via an invoice.  Invoice can be paid via Visa, Mastercard, AMEX or Discover card. Invoices are sent to the email address that members provide.  It is guest responsibility to sign up to the client portal to make payments for each trip each month. (1) invoice is sent to guest each month, invoices are sent to clients at least 10 days before they are due.

 

Customers only be sent only (1) invoice a month for the amount for the payment amount as listed above.  If customer would like to pay off their in full, customer must send an email requesting payoff between the 1st and 5th of the month.  No additional invoices will be sent outside of the (1) monthly invoice or the request to pay off the trip that requested between the 1st and the 5th of the month.

24 hour cancellation.  

Deposit will be refunded upon request 24 hours after trip has been booked. After 24 hours of booking no refunds of deposits will be given.

Non-refundable deposit and payments. After 24 hours of booking no refunds of deposits or payments will be given.

 

Deposit Transfer to Future Trips - If you request to cancel your trip, the trip deposit only can be used toward a future Sisters Traveling Solo group trip (traditional or cultural, excludes Solo Getaways) that you are not currently making payments.  If you have paid a deposit or made any payments on a trip that is not considered a future trip.  A future trip is one in which no money has been exchanged between you the member and Sisters Traveling Solo; deposit or payments.  

For deposit transfer request, the deposit on the trip you are cancelling is applied to the 1st payment on the the future trip. You, the member would pay your deposit for the future trip, and your deposit will be credited towards the 1st payment of that future trip.

 

Deposit transfer request for for either trip must be received via email only at the following address info@sisterstravelingsolo.com before November 15, 2019 (11:59 pm eastern standard time). Trip transfer request not received via email will not be accepted. After November 15, 2019 (11:59 pm eastern standard time) trip deposit cannot  be transferred to another Sisters Traveling Solo trip.  

If your trip is cancelled due to you missing two consecutive trip payments, you cannot apply the deposit to any future Sisters Traveling Solo trips no matter when the trip was cancelled.   

We highly encourage you to purchase travel insurance in case you have to cancel your trip so that if you have to cancel, your travel insurance policy can reimburse you.

Travel InsuranceTravel insurance can be obtained when you purchase your flight.  You will be asked to show proof of travel insurance a month before we depart.  A minimum of $250,000 in travel insurance is REQUIRED. Travel insurance can be obtain when you purchase your flight or with World Nomad.

Failure to provide required information 1 month before trip departure date is cause for forfeit of trip without any refunds.  Sisters Traveling Solo will not travel with or include anyone in trip activities.
