Journey with us to the 7th Continent! This will be an unforgettable once in a lifetime experience. Antarctica is the most remote destination on Earth and is unlike any place you've ever been. No matter where you've been or what you've seen on previous travels, Antarctica's frozen continent is different from any other destination on the PLANET.
On your journey you will cross the infamous Drake Passage (twice), set foot on the Antarctic Peninsula, explore by Zodiac, and get up close to Gentoo penguins.
Yes, Sis, we understand that this trip is pricey. A main reason many never make it to the 7th continent is due to it’s not-so-favorable, high-end price tag. For many, traveling to Antarctica can be costly, and we get that. That's why we’ve extended our payment period for up to 18 months. This will help keep your monthly payments affordable, so you can focus on the part that matters—getting there.
At Sisters Traveling Solo, we're all about providing affordable high-quality experiences. If we feel we would not stay there, neither will our customers.
Prices for a trip to Antarctica will vary, and this is due mainly to the type/quality of ship you are cruising on, season, and route. Like hotels and regular cruise lines, there are budget ships, mid-tier, and there are luxury ships; your cost is based on that. Our ship is in line with our quality standards here at Sisters Traveling Solo. With years of experience, we provide a unique insight into safe travel for women everywhere. Our women’s small group trip to Antarctica offers the experience of a lifetime. Enjoy serene settings and let the replenishing atmosphere awaken the daring side of you that you know exists.
Like our hotels, we do not name our specific ship; however, those who have traveled with Sisters Traveling Solo fully understand that we take our living arrangements very seriously. We always guarantee your comfort. Our helpful team is eager to help answer any questions you may have regarding our women’s small group trip to Antarctica.
DRAKE "RITE OF" PASSAGE
The Drake "rite of" Passage. Positioned between the southern tail of South America and the Antarctic Peninsula's north-sweeping arm is a lively little waterway known as the Drake Passage. The Drake is considered by many polar travelers to be the gateway to the Antarctic, while others view it as the necessary rite of passage everyone must experience before enjoying the boundless natural wonders of Antarctica.
7TH CONTINENT CHECK OFF
Be one of the very few to cross the Antarctic Circle and witness one of the planet's last frontiers.
The Antarctic Circle is one of the most isolated and remote destinations in the world. So naturally, it’s many a traveler’s dream to explore the vast white wilderness of the Antarctic islands. This is Earth’s final frontier—a pristine continent of elemental forces. Less than a century ago, only a handful of humans had experienced its dynamic environment of ice, snow, rock, and water.
KING GEORGE ISLAND
King George Island is the largest of the South Shetland Islands and lies 75 miles off the coast of Antarctica.
The island was first claimed by the British in 1819 and named after King George III, however the following years were turbulent with many disputes about who owned the island. King George Island now serves as an aerodrome for flights to Antarctica, and is known as the unofficial capital of the continent because of the numerous research stations there.
Nestled in the South Shetland Islands archipelago, Deception Island, Antarctica, is one of the most unusual of tourist destinations. The landscape is undoubtedly fascinating with lots to discover.
Don’t feel intimidated by its remote location and volcanic history — Deception Island is an enchanting place. Whether you’re taking a scenic hike, hanging out with thousands of penguins, or taking a few photos in front of an abandoned airplane hangar, there’s an experience for everyone.
