BRAZIL

TRIP OVERVIEW

Sensuality, dancing, and partying: it seems the Brazilians have made a science of all that is fun in life.  Brazil is known as one of the most diverse countries in Latin America, not to mention the continent's only former Portuguese colony. One of the largest countries in the world, Brazil, certainly has plenty to see!

Rio De Janeiro, Brazil (5 nights)

Known for its beautiful landscapes, vibrant culture and friendly people, Rio de Janeiro is one of the cities around the world that most travelers put on their bucket list. Brazil’s interracial history of Portuguese, Japanese, Indian, and German settlers has created a multicultural society, which has led to festivals and celebrations that are known all over the world.

A city break in Rio de Janeiro presents a colorful cityscape of green mountains overlooking blue seas and long, sandy beaches. Expensive hotels and resorts line the seafronts of Ipanema and Copacabana, where sunny days drift into balmy evenings filled with street parties and loud music. From seeing the stunning Christ the Redeemer statue atop Mount Corcovado to learning to samba, check out our guide of things to do in Rio de Janeiro.

DAY 2

After breakfast, we will take a 30-minute ride to the Corcovado Mountain train station, Towering 700 meters above the city with the 30-meter statue of Christ the Redeemer on top. The Corcovado offers a 360-degree view of the 'Cidade Maravilhosa,' which is simply breathtaking.

Once our visit to the Corcovado is finished, we will take a short drive to the Sugarloaf. Upon arrival at Praia Vermelha, at the foot of Urca Hill, stop for lunch at Terra Brasilis restaurant (buffet with dessert included). Then, we board the cable car up to the first level (Urca Hill); we give you some time for pictures and proceed to the second cable car to ascend over 300 m high, Sugar Loaf Mountain. From its top, you can enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of Copacabana beach and downtown Rio de Janeiro.

After returning to ground level, we continue our journey to Santa Teresa, a neighborhood where laid- blackness and tradition meet. But it also brings you street art, such as the fantastic Selaron Steps. The beautiful steps done in ceramic by artist Jorge Selarón are one of a kind.
